Brokerage is part of the "Self directed support process".

Independent Advocacy provides information, support and advice to individuals to enable them to create a personalised package of care. The service is delivered in accordance with the standards set out by the National Brokerage Network.

The aim of the service is to give people freedom of choice and greater control over the planning and delivery of their care and support services.

The framework agreement from Coventry City Council for this service commenced in April 2010 and runs until April 2014. The staff of Independent Advocacy completed the National Brokerage Training in September 2010 and are now qualified to deliver the Brokerage Service.
