Simon Cottingham

Simon has over 30 years’ experience in working with Voluntary, Community and Public sector organisations at National, Regional and Local level. He has been involved at a senior level in a number of cross regional groups including West Midlands Victims Commission and Preventing Violence against Vulnerable people board. He is passionate about the need to engage communities in finding solutions for themselves and to owning and managing more of their resource. He has been a visiting lecturer at University College Birmingham on their Youth, Community and Families degree course as well as supporting research students and running seminars on Health Promotion. He is an independent reviewer of courses for the University.  In his spare time Simon enjoys Science Fiction, audio books, gardening and model railways as well as trying to love, understand and support two young adult children.
