Help us to empower people to live fulfilling lives

Claire Evans

“I love Independent Advocacy and it’s commitment to people. We may be small but we have a really loyal group of donors and supporters that help us to help others”.

Independent Advocacy is a registered charity. Our work empowers people to lead fulfilling lives through our work in communities, advocacy, money and learning. We aim to reduce isolation and improve people self-esteem, building networks and friendships in the local community where people live. We believe that we are stronger together and love working with like- minded people and organisations to bring about change.

We currently support 456 people throughout Warwickshire and Solihull.

One third of our work is dependent on grants and donations. There are many ways you can help us – from a donation or gift in a will, to fundraising, volunteering, or corporate support.

Projects you could support

URGENT! Our mental health peer support group in Solihull needs to be able to hire a minibus so that the group can go to the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham to experience the calming nature of plants. We need £500 to hire the minibus – Can You Help?

Listen to Dave who organises the group talk about what they do.

£25 could pay for an advice session for a vulnerable person

£100 could pay for a volunteer to be trained as a digital champion to isolated people to get online

£1,000 could pay for the development of five community accreditation ‘badges’ for people with low level skills

“Even a small amount helps. We ensure that 85p in every £1 you donate goes to our front-line work”

Or why not set up a direct debit to support our work. Just £5.00 a month would make a difference to someone’s life, and help us do more with the people we support.

You will be making a real difference to local people’s lives.
